Who makes these resources?
International Resources
Every year, Christians from a different host country choose the theme and prepare draft texts for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU). For this year, 2025, the prayers and reflections for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity were prepared by the brothers and sisters of the monastic community of Bose in northern Italy.
The final yearly international WPCU booklet is published by the international ecumenical WPCU Writing Team, which is appointed jointly by the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches.
Canadian Resources
Canadian resources for the 2025 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity have been prepared by the ecumenical WPCU Writing and Animation Team of volunteers from member churches of The Canadian Council of Churches working in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism, the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism, and the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.
For over 50 years, we have been supporting the WPCU celebrations across Canada through preparing and publishing original Canadian WPCU resources in English and French, maintaining this website, and sharing stories about local WPCU events and ecumenical communities in Canada.
