We invite people of ALL FAITH to join us in the tradition of Taize Prayer to seek: Reconciliation, Religious Tolerance, Cultural Acceptance, and Unity.

Ecumenical worship service organized by the Athens Ministerial. Clergy and lay leaders of the participating congregations share leadership of the different elements of the liturgy. As the Athens Ministerial celebrates the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity annually, a different preacher from the local denominations is chosen each year. The freewill offering collected at this service funds annual bursaries presented to local students on behalf of the Ministerial. All are welcome. Join us for a time of fellowship following the service!

Using  songs from the Ecumenical Community of Taizé in France, along with Scripture passages suggested by the organizers of The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, prayers of intercession, candle procession and a reception to meet others while building bridges and breaking down walls. Fort Qu'Appelle

There will be six gatherings in all, beginning with an evening service of Taize-based prayer at Qu'Appelle House of Prayer. 4 noon-day services will follow, using the theme and prayer suggestions for this year. After a time of prayer hosted by each church, soup and refreshments will be served. Last of all, there will be another evening service in a different town - Indian Head - co-hosted by the United and Roman Catholic churches. Prior to the week of local services, several from the community will participate in World Religion Day in the spirit of unity and "Relationship" (focus for this year) at the Jewish Synagogue in Regina on January 19. The week will conclude at St Paul's Cathedral (Anglican) in Regina with a solemn Eucharist on Sunday, January 26.
